Workplace Health and Safety Toolkit for Vulnerable Populations
About
Workplace Health and Safety Toolkit for Vulnerable Populations
Understanding and practicing appropriate workplace safety is vital for both workers and employers. Doing so minimizes the occurrence of accidents, injuries, and fatalities. However, members of vulnerable populations are often faced with additional challenges in understanding and practicing appropriate workplace safety due to cultural, learning, financial, or language competency factors.
The Workplace Health and Safety Toolkit for Vulnerable Populations includes a variety of resources which address the unique learning needs of vulnerable populations. Designed with the support of the Government of Alberta, Ministry of Labour, the purpose of this toolkit is to give vulnerable populations in Alberta and beyond a resource with information they need to live and work safely.
This toolkit serves as a resource and does not replace the OHS Act, Regulation and Code and does not exempt readers from their responsibilities under the legislation.
